Participation Agreement & Waiver
Welcome to Hammock Earth.
This is a space to reconnect with yourself, with others, and with the land.
We gather on living earth, in community, in movement, creativity, and care.
Safety here is something we co-create through awareness, communication, and personal responsibility.
You are always invited to:
move at your own pace
listen to your body
your participation in any activity is optional so you can always choose what feels right for you
Activities & Environment
Our experiences may include:
farm tours and time on a working organic homestead
gardening and land-based workshops
farm-to-table meals and shared food experiences
time around fire, games, and outdoor gathering
interaction with animals, working dogs, and livestock
movement practices (dance, TRE, qi gong, somatic exercises)
group, creative, and emotional experiences
These take place in a natural, working farm environment, which may be uneven, unpredictable, and include inherent risks.
Your Responsibility
By participating, you agree to:
take responsibility for your well-being
participate at your own pace
wear appropriate clothing and footwear
use care around tools, animals, fire, and land
communicate if you need support
Shared Care
We co-create this space together.
We ask that you:
respect others’ boundaries
engage with awareness and consent
contribute to a culture of care and non-judgment
Legal Agreement
Assumption of Risk
You acknowledge that participation involves risks, including:
slips, trips, and falls on uneven terrain
exposure to weather, insects, animals, and fire
use of tools and farm equipment
food-related risks (including allergies)
physical exertion and emotional responses
These risks may result in injury, illness, or death.
You voluntarily assume all such risks, including those arising from the negligence of the organizers.
Release of Liability
By participating, you agree to release and not bring claims against:
2517362 Ontario Inc., 9815988 Canada Inc, Hammock Earth, and all organizers, facilitators, landowners, staff, volunteers, partners, and affiliates (“Releasees”)
for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your participation, including those caused by negligence.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any claims, costs, or damages arising from your participation.
Food & Allergies
You are responsible for managing your own dietary needs and allergies.
Medical
In an emergency, you authorize organizers to seek medical care on your behalf.
You are responsible for any associated costs.
Ontario Law
This agreement is governed by Ontario law and is intended to limit liability under the Occupiers’ Liability Act.
Final Acknowledgement
By agreeing, you confirm that:
you have read and understood this agreement
you are participating voluntarily
you understand you are waiving certain legal rights, including the right to sue
