Courage Incubator: An immersion for Asian Creatives

This is a call to the Asian creative spirit.

The Courage Incubator is a weekend immersive designed by and for Asian creatives who are craving space to take soul-aligned risks without burning out. As working professionals, we’re often praised for our discipline but beneath that our quiet hunger for aliveness, vitality, and expression grows louder.

​​This workshop is a homecoming to that inner wildness. Led by Asian facilitators rooted in healing, artistry, and intergenerational wisdom, we’ll create a space to play jazz: to improvise, feel deeply, and risk safely.

​​Through movement, ritual, storytelling, and intuitive practices, you’ll:

• ​​Unearth what risks your creative self is truly craving

• ​​Explore how fear and courage live in your body and how to expand your capacity to hold both

• ​​Experience symbolic activation that helps you remember the dream you're chasing

• ​​Feel the rewards of stepping forward before the leap feels safe

​​This isn’t a performance, it’s a practice. A sacred, playful lab for post-traumatic growth, artistic expansion, and inner freedom.

​​Whether you’re a writer, designer, performer, entrepreneur or multi-hyphenate visionary, this space dares you to make the leap and land in your own becoming.

​​A Glimpse Into the Full Day

​​We’ll gather at noon on Saturday at the Old School House in Mt. Horeb for lunch and activities into the evening. Bring what you’d like to grill on the BBQ for our potluck dinner and any snacks you’d like to have and share. ​​If you have dietary needs, you’re welcome to bring what you need, we’ll have space in the fridge.

​About the Facilitators

​Anto Chan is the founder of InnerGenerational: Becoming Ancestors, a Canada Council for the Arts-funded multi-arts community that fosters a safe and nurturing space for Asian diaspora creatives to defy the limitations of the model minority archetype and evolve without fear.

​As a practitioner of Expressive Arts Therapy (under supervision), Anto's work centers on creating spaces for expansion, intersectionality, and self-love through the page, stage, and community. A dedicated creative mentor, he empowers emerging artists to overcome creative barriers, reclaim the stage, and navigate grant writing. His projects are rooted in the transformative journey of soul healing, self-discovery, and intergenerational trauma healing.

​Thu Nguyen is the co-founder of Hammock Earth. As a trauma-informed somatic coach, facilitator, writer and dj, Thu holds spaces for personal and collective transformation rooted in embodiment, nervous system regulation and creative expression.

​Drawing from her lived experience as a Vietnamese diasporic woman, a healer, and a former startup founder, Thu bridges ancient practices with modern resilience tools like TRE (Tension & Trauma Release Exercises), Qi Gong, and Meditation. Her work is deeply informed by post-doom philosophy, nervous system science, and the wild intelligence of the land.

​Through retreats, circles, and one-on-one coaching, Thu invites others to return to their true self. Her spaces are tender and powerful, poetic and practical—where courage doesn't mean pushing harder, but softening into what’s already true.
